Many people have heard about San Gimignano, Volterra, Montalcino, Pienza and Val d'Orcia.
Some have heard about Arezzo, Cortona, Sansepolcro and the Casentino valley. Few have heard about the Pratomagno hills and very few indeed have heard about Odina.
Odina is a medieval hamlet, that has recently been restored and is situated in the very heart of the Tuscan countryside far away from the usual tourist trail.
At Odina there are no televisions, hydro-massage tubs, or telephones in the bedrooms.
But, on the other hand there are thick forests of oak, chestnut and pine, where mushrooms and wild herbs grow.
The whole area is a haven for wildlife, hawks can often be seen circling overhead, deer graze on the wooded forest slopes, hare dart along country tracks, you might even be lucky enough to spot a wild boar by night as it strays from its hiding place amongst the trees. Squirrels too make their home in the lush green woods.
